Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before using MakerFusion. They govern your access to and use of the platform.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MakerFusion (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you (or the organisation you represent) and MakerFusion ("we", "us", or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

You must be at least 16 years old to use MakerFusion. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2.Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised use of your account credentials.

You may not create accounts through automated means, maintain multiple active accounts to circumvent restrictions, or create an account on behalf of another person without their consent.

3.Subscription & Billing

MakerFusion uses a modular subscription model. You choose which modules to activate and pay for only those. Pricing is shown on our pricing page.

  • Free trials: each module includes a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. If you do not add a payment method before the trial ends, the module deactivates automatically.
  • Billing cycle: subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Your billing date is set when you first subscribe.
  • Payments: all payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees.
  • Proration: when you add or remove a module mid-cycle, we prorate the charge or credit to your next invoice.
  • Refunds: we do not offer refunds for partial months. If you accidentally purchased a module, contact us within 48 hours and we will review your request.
  • Price changes: we will give you at least 30 days notice before increasing prices on modules you are actively subscribed to.

If a payment fails, we will retry the charge and notify you by email. After repeated failures, access to paid modules may be suspended until payment is resolved.

4.Acceptable Use

You agree to use MakerFusion only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including those governing data privacy, intellectual property, or consumer protection.
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, systems, or networks.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service in a way that could disable, overburden, or impair its infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicence, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties without our written consent.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the Service without prior written permission.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these requirements.

5.Intellectual Property

The MakerFusion platform — including its code, design, branding, and documentation — is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.

Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions you submit to us may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.

6.Data Ownership

You own your data. All business data you enter into MakerFusion — including inventory records, recipes, expenses, sales data, and any other content — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You can export your data at any time using the built-in CSV export features. If you close your account, we will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We will not access your business data except to provide the Service, to respond to a support request you have opened, or where required by law.

7.Termination

By you: you may close your account at any time from your account settings. Your subscription will not renew, and your data will be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

By us: we may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay subscription fees after repeated notices, or if we determine, in our reasonable judgement, that continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.

We will provide reasonable notice before termination unless the breach is severe (for example, fraudulent activity or security threats), in which case we may act immediately.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including data deletion, intellectual property, and limitation of liability) remain in effect.

8.Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors are not liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.
  • Damages resulting from third-party services (Etsy, Shopify, Stripe) or their downtime.
  • Damages resulting from unauthorised access to your account where you have not followed reasonable security practices.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9.Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

If you continue to use MakerFusion after the effective date of revised Terms, you are accepting those changes. If you do not accept the new Terms, you may close your account before they take effect.
